The last time I saw Della Cancela was in her lovely home in Buenos Aires on my last day there. Delia Cancela is an Argentinian artist living and working in Buenos Aires and Paris. In the 60’s she was at the hart of the international avant garde scene . She held her first full exhibition “Love and Life” at Galeria Lirolay, Buenos Aires in 1965 together with her partner, Pablo Mesejean. It combined painting, set design, music and performance.
In November 2018 she will have a retrospective show at Museo De Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires.
