I had a visit from my ex-intern today and was happy to see her collection and e-commerce site. Xing used to work with me on ASVOFF and I’ve known about her idea to start a company with her husband for a few years now. Like many start-ups the idea for the business evolved over time and in the end they decided to work with Xing’s paintings and illustrations and put them on t-shirts and sweat shirts. The bodies are manufactured in Portugal and the artwork, printing and finishing is all done in Paris. The brand was launched last week.
The t-shirt Xing is wearing is from one of her paintings of the town where she grew up in China. The To Be Honest, one of a kind, sweatshirt was made for me using the name of my first perfume and a quality that resonates with me.
