Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
You could already smell and witness a romantic and historian atmosphere while entering the Musée de l’Armée for the Uma Wang Fall Winter 2017 show. Soft and gradient uses of velvet were the focus point of this collection and made for a regal and classic feel throughout the show. Uma Wang went for dressing gown type silhouettes for the jackets in combination with brown toned fabric and striped patterns. The soft tailoring made the garments feel relaxed and coherent in style, movement and fit. The white garments were pigmented and printed upon giving the garments an aged effect, which mixed well with the rich essence of the velvet.
