Dear Shaded Viewers,

The newly opened Galerie Italienne gave its Project Room over to Stephan Breuer for his “Cosmic Horizon” video made in 2012 and his 5 tons of sand installation. Standing in the Project Room watching the 15 minute video of a play on the still and the heavy (the 5 tons of sand) and the light and material (the video), I felt the same sense of total serenity that I’ve felt while experiencing a James Turrell installation. Rather than me putting Stephan’s words into my words, please listen to him on the two videos posted above.
