Dear Shaded Viewers,

Born and raised in Athens, Fotini Lagaki started sewing clothes from a very young age, before realizing fashion was her true calling. The former Central Saint Martins student has an interest in geometrical forms and sleek shapes, which was evidenced in her last collection entitled "The Sun", exploring volume through contrasting lines and innovative print. Her womenswear show was a fine combination of abstraction and sensuality, using the body as a conceptual framework. Inspired by the sun's power and planets in orbit, Lagaki finished all her looks with black architectural hats, hovering between futurism and constructivism. Her pleat-detail fitted shirts, constellation print dresses and strict-looking pencil skirts were desirable and feminine. She scooped the "Best Designer" prize during the New Designers Awards event and it'll be interesting to see what the future holds for her.

Best,

Philippe
