ASHOWROOM – BY JALEESA THIJM

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,

Today I had the pleasure to visit ashowroom and their featured designers. The showroom was filled with leather goods, printed scarves, suede shoes and shiny jewellery, all these collections were accompanied by their designers which include; Astraea, Eleven Everything, Officina del Poggio, Daryn Moore, Natsuko Toyofuku, Rohka and Carlo Maria Pelagallo. Lets take a closer look at each brand.

Astraea
A leather goods brand, which dedicated their name to the Greek goddess of golden age. This French brand works with geometric shaped bags with an inspiration from architecture, all made in Florence Italy. The autumn winter 2016 collection is a contrast of lightweight and soft leather with strong and sharp lines. Each of the items has a wrap closing and has various ways of wearing or carrying the bags. The brand uses key models with additional new items each season.
 
Eleven Everything
Eleven Everything is a brand which is specialized in hand knitted scarves. The designs are all hand made with antique knitting machines and made with Italian wool. The scarves feature on screen printing which results in a glossy effect upon the knitted creations. The scarves vary in different styles and can be worn in different ways.
 
Officina del Poggio
Unlined bags with hand painted edges with a feel of craftsmanship. The collection of Officina del Poggio is a range of contrasting colour bags, which come in different styles and shapes. Taking inspiration from vintage satchels, double buckles and motorcycling bags Officina del Poggio has managed to take a modern and contrasting spin onto these classic models. The range of box bags have a metallic shine on the exterior while having the softness of the suede within the interior.
 
Carlo Maria Pelagallo
The jewellery collection is inspired by industrial design, a field where the designer has experience in. The bracelets and rings have strong and simple lines within the design, which makes a structural collection.
 
Daryn Moore.
This luxury shoe brand presented their third collection inspired by the Venetian masks. The shoe collection is filled with suede materials and includes padding in order to create intertwined volumes. The Venice masks is carried on in the design of the half boot half sandal, which results in a long boot with open cut straps on the outside of the leg.
 
Natsuko Toyofuku
A jewellery brand made in Milan carrying rings, bracelets and earrings. The jewellery has almost an organic feel to them created by the shapes and lines used in the design. The items are made in bronze, which gives a warm feeling and is light in weight.
