Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
Earlier this week I attended the Marangoni graduate fashion show at the Palazzo Corsini in Florence. The overall quality of textiles and finishings were at an incredibly high level. I was also impressed with the way the collections were edited; when 16 individual universes are presented in succession in the space of maybe 30 minutes, the simple and well executed ideas stood out more than anything. Here are what I saw to be the strongest collections.
With the opening of Marangoni’s new school in Florence, and their offering of 80 new scholarships on the occasion of their 80th anniversary, the city where I call home is proving to be a centre for fashion education and change! I couldn’t be happier.
