In 2004 the artist in residence from New York will be presenting a series of imagined wigs 'architectures tressees' inspired by the sky scrapers in an American city. 'Perruques architectures is inspired by european capitals and the Perruques Mava (Musee d'Art de la Vie Active) focused on celebrities.Meschac Gaba was born in 1961 at Cotonou (Benin). He studied at the Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten of Amsterdam from 96-97 and currently lives between Rotterdam and Cotonou.
