I just came back from Musee du Quai Branly where I witnessed the powerful performance of the Delvallet Bidiefono Compagnie Baninga. The Congo-Brazzaville choregrapher, dancer and musician DeLaVallet Bidiefono is a pioneer in contemporary dance. The dance shows the intensity of the life and death struggles in the Congo during the civil wars in the 90's. The spectacle mixes dance, music and theatre with the artists sharing their space with the living dead. Not to be missed.
