RIP Julie Harris, a sweet memory of a tea with this iconic costume designer and a short doc “A DARLING PARTY” BY VINCENT WILLIAM GAGLIOSTRO

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Thanks to my friend Vincent Gagliostro Robb Young and I were able to meet the iconic, Oscar winning, costume designer of Darling, A Hard Day's Night, Help and so many other films, Julie Harris. We took a tea and had a chat with Julie in her home 2 years ago. Unfortunately I was a bit late picking up my twitter messages and missed the one from the Telegraph asking permission to use an image of Julie holding her oscar from Vincent's film, however that is how I found out yesterday that Julie had died on May 30th.   I will always treasure those precious moments spent in her home, I wished that we had known she had a weakness for chocolates then, we would have brought her a box instead of flowers.

When she was awarded her Oscar she was on set for another film so she never had the opportunity to give an  acceptance speech. We decided to play make pretend in this doc.  and had her hold that very heavy Oscar. A Darling Party screened at ASVOFF Cannes two years ago, Julie got a kick out of that.
