FASHION SHOW 2015, TEXTILE & FASHION DEPARTMENT ROYAL ACADEMY OF ART (KABK) THE HAGUE

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,

On Friday June 26, The Textile and Fashion department of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK), The Hague will stage its annual Fashion event. Held at the Elektriciteitsfabriek in The Hague, students will present their contemporary and innovative vision on fashion design at this spectacular location. In the build-up to the fashion show, the exhibition " EXPOSED" realised with supervision from scenographer Bob Verhelst, will take place from 20th until the 23th of June, featuring installations from graduation collections and textile projects amongst other works.

Juri Persoons, head of Textile and Fashion department since 2013, works with an entire team of instructors to craft a creative vision and strong identity. The unique interaction between the department’s textile and fashion designs elevates the collections of the graduating students to a higher level. Marieke Schoenmakers, director of the Royal Acadamy of Art, The Hague adds: " We see that the international young talent educated in the Textile and Fashion department attracts the attention of both the press and the public. We are thrilled that fashion designer Jan Taminiau will be part of the committee evaluating the work submitted by this year’s graduating class.”
