Dear Shaded Viewers,
the dynamite duo Fabio Sasso and Juan Caro aka LEITMOTIV are back with a collection inspired by manga and japanese cartoons as well as oriental flowers and flamingos. A little back to the roots of the first fairy tales style collection that I used to love, with a full dreamy attitude. A wonderland related to pastel tones as well as patent metallic effects for shiny eco-leather dresses (that reminds me of Rachel in Blade Runner), with precious shiny embroideries creating 3D surfaces as well as beautiful Loto flowers printed evening gowns. There is also strong influence from Kawaii style with the use of the imagery of iconic cartoons (the PONY DREAMERS hoodie-dress). What’s Kawaii then? It means cute in Japanese, it is a style that uses bright colors and characters such as Rilakkuma or Little Twin Stars to make a person look more adorable according to the Japanese culture. It's popular among Japanese girls from the age of fifteen to eighteen, Fabio and Juan chose to give a more mature interpretation and making the models look like women and not like teens. The collection is playful and funny without being childish, yet with some more simpler additions with black and burgundy as main colors for pants, skirts and shirts.

Giorgia
