Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
We met Tom Lipop and Eser Aydemir last year when they won the Who is on Next competition at Pitti Uomo. This week they presented a collection that showed a refinement and maturity far beyond the 4 years of their brand. You could clearly see the quality of the textiles, all made in Italy, and the cleverness in how designer Tom Lipop used them. Deep blue pony-hair shined from the relaxed sports-jackets, and one coat made of an alpaca blend was draped softly as if a scarf was constructed into the front. The attention to detail is also a strength where old-style envelope fastenings with a cord twisted around two buttons, closed jackets and coats, and gave subtle continuity with previous work. A highlight of Pitti Uomo this season.
