Dear Shaded Viewers,
The Happy-go-Cola collection is designed to offer relief from the sometimes not so beautiful world, especially when you think of things like the recent ruling of the Ferguson Officer who was not indicted for the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager… Happy-go-Cola permits happiness and escapism and is also about the coming together of two cultures, the Orient and the Occident Western consumer culture is presented by soft drink bottles and currency symbols which are made beautiful with cherry blossoms and carved kawaii gemstones.
Bea depicts her generation's desire to evade the hardships of a difficult reality with the pursuit of happiness in a playful and carefree language.
