Michael LindsayHogg has influenced pop culture for decades. He is a Tony-nominated (Whose Life Is It Anywayand BAFTA-winning Best Director (Brideshead Revisited), as well as a pioneer in music videos having worked with the Rolling Stones for 15 years as well as directing The Beatles final performance and film Let It Be.  He also recently wrote a fascinating memoir, Luck and Circumstance: A Coming of Age in Hollywood, New York, and Points Beyond

Lindsay-Hogg's mother was the actress Geraldine Fitzgerald. Creativity and Hollywood run in his blood and throughout his many creative endeavors, including now in his choice of unique gallery space in Los Angeles, as he has embarked upon what he calls his "career number 5" as an artist. Art collector and casting director John Papsidera (The Dark Knight, Inception, Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass) has opened up a beautiful space (which used to be the Kim Light gallery) connected to his casting office in LA's Culver City, on the main strip of La Cienega art galleries. Michael's show is the second for The Salon at automatic sweat, following an exhibition by Vanessa Prager. Lindsay-Hogg's works are on view through Oct. 10, 2014
