The restored version of ORSON WELLES MACBETH will open in the cinemas September 10th

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In 1947 Orson Welles decided to bring Shakespeare to the cinema. It started with Othello but when he could not get the support of investors he he needed he proposed the adaptation of Macbeth. Welles cast himself as Macbeth and Jeanette Nolan as Lady Macbeth. He adapted Shakespeare's original by adding sequences involving the witches to give them more significance. The newly restored version of Macbeth will be out at cinemas on September 10th.
