Yves Saint Laurent Hardcover

Dear Shaded Viewers,

My long time friend, Roxanne Lowit, is releasing her new book on Yves Saint Laurent November 4, you can pre-order on amazon...  I remember her telling me about her first photography job and how Andy Warhol had her on top of the Eiffel Tower photographing Yves Saint Laurent for INTERVIEW magazine and the launch of YSL's  new fragrance. Not a bad beginning for a photographer. Roxanne covered Yves Saint Laurent for 25 years and with the two recent releases in the cinema , bio-pics of YSL, I  cannot think of better timing. Roxanne is recognized as a pioneer of backstage photography. We all know who YSL is so no need for more explanations here. Her first encounter with Yves was in 1978 and the last was in 2002. Pierre Berge wrote the introduction and there are contributions by the likes of Catherine Deneuve, Betty Catroux, Lucie de la Falaise, Pat Cleavland and FIT's museum curator, Valerie Steele.
