Dear Shaded Viewers,
A photo summary of my days in Beijing as a guest of Izzue x Tsinghua Fashion Design Awards. the reason for my trip was to participate with the jury of experts from around the planet and to choose the most creative designer for Hong Kongs home-born brand Izzue. Tsinghua University and Izzue's design team short listed 12 designers from China, the US, UK. Apart from Central Saint Martins, four other design schools participated: Royal College of Art and University of Salford, Manchester and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Deco and Parsons.
This post however is the day that I arrived and went to visit JOYCE in Beijing to check out the work of my two friends: Mario Salvucci and Saul Zanolari. The Izzue x Tsinghua competition is not until the 31st July…entry Day 3.
The day began and ended in my lovely hotel at The Opposite House. I miss my wooden bath tuband the beautiful smiles of the entire staff.
