Dear Diane and Shaded viewers,
Yesterday was my first day at Pitti Uomo, the premier men’s trade fair in Florence. This season marks the 60th anniversary of the fair, and as part of the celebrations Pitti teamed up with Vogue Italia to celebrate the homegrown talent, such as Gucci and Ferragamo, in an exhibit consisting of photos published in the magazine over the years. Needless to say there was no lack of photographic talent on display at Palazzo Vecchio, what with some iconic imagery by the likes of Paolo Roversi, Steven Klein, and Steven Meisel, among others.
