Dear Shaded Viewers,
Tomorrow at the crack of dawn, I will be on route to Cannes with Vincent Gagliostro, Cannes virgin, and Robin Meason. We will join ASVOFF'S David Herman and Konstantinos Menelaou who land in Cannes today. Big thank you to Silencio for the warm welcome, Peroni for the aperitivo and ARTDICTED for the production of the event and of course our man Jason Last who put all the films together. Jason is living large celebrating Esteban Cortazar's 30th birthday in Cartagena, Colombia.
You can look forward to a special projection of TRAVELLING AT NIGHT WITH JIM JARMUSCH by Lea Rinaldi who will be present and actually lives in Cannes. A few years ago she met Jim Jarmush and has been documenting his past two films and will be documenting his next one too. We will screen 16 films from ASVOFF 6, one is bringing Julie Harris 'A Darling Party' by Vincent Gagliostro, to Cannes. She won the costume award for Darling…Julie Christie….Vincent will be present. Julien Landais will screen his last 3 fashion films which star Alain Fabien Delon, Nora Arnezeder and Marie de Villepin. AND we will have our special DJ Guest: Bertrand Bugalat.
