A VISIT TO ENZUVAN’S SHOWROOM IN SEOUL – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I was delighted to meet Hong Eun Ju in her Seoul showroom this week. She launched her brand "Enzuvan" in 2000, mixing her Japanese influences with a relaxed sportswear approach. I loved her use of fur -whether real or faux- as well as her patchwork pieces, combining up to 4 different fabrics. Textures were plush and contrasted, while shapes were roomy and practical. Her clothes have a stylish and playful approach and I was surprised to find out she spoke perfect French, making communication much easier.

Best,

Philippe
