Nice to see Barbie keeping up with the times. The latest collaboration with Sadie Williams will be on offer exclusively at Selfridges London's Toy Shop from Valentines day which happens to be the first day of LFW.
Williams says: "I wanted to create a Barbie gang of ultra princessy tomboys. I've always been a bit of a tomboy, and at the same time I love dressing up. I wanted my Barbies to encapsulate these playful elements by creating special shimmering gowns, each a one-off featuring my hand worked textiles."
Previous Barbie collaborations Fred Butler, Louise Gray, someone stole mine at LFW…, Nasir Mazhar, and Sibling. Bleach in Dalston has even done her hair! Celebrated milliner Stephen Jones recently lavished her with total couture outfits for Christmas, and Roksanda Ilincic designed her new dreamhouse in collaboration with SHOWstudio, having dressed her before too.
