MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA FALL WINTER 2014/15 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Reinventing contemporary elegance is certainly not an easy task, but Maison Martin Margiela offered a strong proposal this week, giving masculinity a seductive spin. The collection was full of handsome and desirable clothes, from precise tailoring and oversize coats, to baggy leather pants and shaggy furs. A dandyish charm gave certain looks a bohemian flair, while hybridity kept defining the line. A trench coat morphed into a soft cape, while fabrics from tents and diving vests were used to craft new outerwear pieces. It was a highly creative, modern and inspiring show.

Best,

Philippe
