The Ballad Of Genesis And Lady Jaye (2011)

An intimate, affecting portrait of the life and work of ground-breaking performance artist and music pioneer Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) and his other half and collaborator, Lady Jaye, centered around the daring sexual transformations the pair underwent for their “Pandrogyne” project.

5:00 PM

Two new surprise short films by Jonathan Caouette.

Tarnation (2004)

Praised as “ a film of remarkable power” by esteemed film critic Roger Ebert, Jonathan Caouette's Tarnation is a documentary on growing up with a mother with schizophrenia and has earned huge acclaim since it's release in 2004. Culled together from 20 years of snapshots, answering machine messages, video diaries, super 8 home movies, snippets of 1970's and 1980's pop culture and early short films and more, to create an epic portrait of an American family torn apart by disfunction and reunited through the power of love. This riveting one-of-a-kind documentary is being screened for a special 10 year anniversary of the films release.

8:00 PM Solo Show/Master class "hanging around with Marie and Jonathan" Both directors will be discussing their work and showing various outtakes from films, works in progress and a few surprises too;)
