Hugo Franca will be the next artist featured in the 12-14 season of Design at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden held in the Garden, Based in Brazil, Hugo Franca uses all natural materials to create functional and sustainable design pieces. Each piece uses reclaimed wood from felled, burned or dead trees found in Brazil. By making them functional Hugo Franca gives new life to trees that are sometimes hundreds of years old. Cristina Grajales of the Cristina Grajales Gallery in NYC is curating the exhibit at Fairchild during Art Basel Miami Beach.
