Izhar Patkin – The Meta Bride from 1982

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I was looking for something for my ex-intern, Savio, and came across this trip down memory lane when the New York based artist Izhar Patkin had asked me to make a wedding dress, somewhere between a nurse and a bride, for his opening at the Holly Solomon Gallery in NYC. I had no idea that the backwards contortonist that I dressed had been video taped. I attach an image and the link to Izhar's website, just click on the video and hear David McDermott sing and bride by yours truly and rubber tuxedo by Sally Beers. It was a fun memory and might help kick start some more for my autobiography. The text appeared in Italian Vogue Pelle in 1983.

Later,

Diane
