FILM SYNOPSIS:
To affirm SHOWstudio's commitment to exploring new fashion frontiers, filmmaker Marie Schuller eschewed Paris and headed to Singapore for Couture Week 2012. Filmed within a Blumenfeld-esque set of shadows and fabrics, this film features exclusively Asian models, and brings together couture form areas such as Bangkok, China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Japan and France.
DIRECTOR'S BIO:
Marie Schuller is a London based fashion filmmaker and head of fashion film at SHOWstudio. She studied filmmaking at the National Film and Television School and completed her MA in Photography at the University of the Arts London. Together with SHOWstudio's director Nick Knight, Schuller works on film season concepts and controls film content that gets published on SHOWstudio.com. Her directing work has been screened internationally from the Kunsthalle in Vienna to the Centre Pompidou in Paris and awarded multiple times, amongst others with the prize for 'Best Director of Fashion' at ASVOFF Barcelona 2012.
