Laura Albert is the author of the novels "Sarah" and "Harold's End,"
as well as the story collection "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All
Things," all published under the name JT LeRoy. Laura wrote the original
screenplay for Gus Van Sant's "Elephant" and has written for the HBO
series "Deadwood."
Her journalistic writing has been published in The New York Times, The
London Times, Spin, Interview, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Black Book, and
many other publications worldwide. Her fiction has also
been published in anthologies, art books and catalogs, and literary
magazines.
Laura collaborated with director and playwright Robert Wilson for the
VOOM video portraits and continued the collaboration with the catalog
for his "Frontiers: Visions of the Frontier" at IVAM Valencia. She has
been photographed by Steven Klein for QVEST magazine and by Kai Regan
for his "Reckless Endangerment" at ALIFE, and has done fashion shoots
for Christian Lacroix and John Galliano.
