Simona Citarella is a fashion designer born
in Amalfi who has been based in Milan since 2007 and is the co-owner of WOK CONCEPT STORE with Federica Zambon .
After different collaborations as shoe and
acessories designer with brands , she created her first
signature shoe collection SIMONA VANTH in 2011 . My impression upon seeing the collection is that it falls somewhere between artwork and craftwork. She uses materials in an interesting way that is timeless and escapes trends, what she is doing is creating her own dreamworld. It is sensitive and ironic with a surreal touch. Each piece is created with a new design process. Her inspirations include her reinterpretation of dance, cinematic influences and modern art and design, all done using her own unique style.
