Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
Yesterday, I went to see the latest offerings from Boudicca, which they were showing only for one day in New York. The once-go-to London label for the fashion cognoscenti, Boudicca has been struggling as of late in the fashion landscape where people look more often at the label instead of the garment.
This collection was solid, but I couldn't help missing the hard-edged Boudicca of the last decade with its almost three-dimensional tailoring that gave the garments a life of its own. Still, it was tailoring where the collection shined, with its sharp silhouettes and stitched through lapels. The materials and finishing, wools and heavy silks, were exquisite as always.
Since the Boudicca lookbook has been already posted several pages back, I concentrated on showind details in my photographs.
Best,
Eugene
