Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,
While Diane was in Tokyo, I really wanted to take her to Atami where Eatable of Many Orders has their atelier. It is 2 hours away by local train from Tokyo – a small town where is famous for its hot springs and tasty seafood. We could not make it while Diane was here, but this weekend I went there to see their SS2013 show.
This time the show was held at Atami Geiko Kenban – the traditional theater where Geikos perform.
The performance started with the traditional music and song performed by Geikos.
Then followed by the slide show and story telling of "Pollanno Square" by Kenji Miyazawa.
When the story goes by, the arch on the stage has assembled.
Then the show started – – –
At the end of the performance, we could see the beauriful dance of Geikos.

I was really happy to see such a original perfomance created by Yoko and Koji. I don't think it is not easy to do the show at such a traditional theater, but they are based in Atami and they have been creating their own creative circle with the city and the people who love to live and work there – the live music was played by OVERROCKET, the stage set was created by the furniture designer Masaki Kondo.
Diane, when you are in Tokyo next time, we will go there x
Later,
Akiko.
