Laurent Segretier is a young Frenchartist who uses new media to create . He works between Hong Kong and Paris and we share a mutual friend, Bartley Ingram of Joyce Hong Kong.

His photo and video creations are characterised by an ambivalent use of digital tools. On one side, Laurent Segretier meticulously controls all parameters when creating his portraits, on the other he allows chance to intervene, creating accidental distortion that becomes the key element of his compositions. These images appear deformed, severely pixelated, crea- ting something new via the digital framework.
In this exhibition, Laurent Segretier creates connections between cyberspatiality and the transformation of social temporalities in a mute violence.
