Dear Shaded Viewers,
If Brazil's economic boom and craving for luxury goods are often referred to within the fashion press, not many journalists have focused on the country's most promising talents. Mario Francisco, the designer behind menswear line Der Metropol, is certainly one of them. His last collection mixed sportswear shapes and graphic effects with unusual proportions. I liked Francisco's take on shorts, a key item for next season. Tailored and fully flared, they offered a nice compromise between style and comfort.

Best,
Philippe
