Dear Shaded Viewers,

Last week, the international press attending Fashion Rio was invited to a delightful lunch at Aprazivel, a Brazilian restaurant which boasts lovely views of Rio from its perch high up in Santa Teresa. We were invited by ABIT (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association), Texbrasil, Apex-Brasil, ABEST and Luminosidade.

Lunch is served! I started with a fresh roasted heart of palm with olive oil and pesto.

Because I love cuisine from the state of Minas Gerais (I visited Belo Horizonte in 2007), I chose the Country-Style Chicken as my main. Along with chicken there is Minas Gerais sausage in the rice casserole. The sides are a roasted banana and shredded kale.

I could’ve eaten 10 of these it was so delicious: Banana Santa Teresa with cinnamon, sugar, vanilla ice cream, mint and hot chocolate sauce.

Tree-house dining is an option.
