Dear Shaded Viewers,
Last night we attended a champagne toast at the beautiful new Dream Hotel Downtown for Eric Daman, the costume designer for the hit TV series “Gossip Girl.” The party launched Eric’s collaboration with DKNY hosiery, a capsule collection of eight uniquely patterned tights which are reflective of the DKNY legwear often worn by the female characters on the show and Eric’s styling sensibility.
Some of the tights Eric helped design were displayed around the hotel’s Electric Room, where Carole Pope and I nearly drowned in champagne and scarfed down way too many mini grilled-cheese sandwiches.
I was very impressed with the design of the new Dream Hotel. Here’s a view of the hotel’s restaurant.
