Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,
For his spring show, Corrado De Biase has been playing with surfaces. Beautiful, precious fabrics you would never have thought together were combined to match perfectly, in candid, liquid shades, as light and sweet as jelly beans. And you could almost feel, pretty rare thing to be sensed on the runaway, behind all the voluptuous meanings of silk and sheer organza, and in between the pleats and folds and skillful, fine curves of quilts, a certain feel for comfort, an almost oriental care for wellness. And somehow eastern were the cuts too, loose, wide, sometimes overlapping or adorned with neat tight collars, always discreetly wise.
