ERWIN WURM AND WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK AT MIDDELHEIM ANTWERPEN

Dear Diane and dear Shaded Viewers,

Yesterday the Middelheim Museum, an open air museum for modern sculpture in Antwerp opened an exhibition by Austrian artist Erwin Wurm until September 25th. He placed 20 works among the pieces of the permanent collection of the museum. He also created two new pieces for the Braem Pavillion, which combine to create a single installation piece.

Erwin Wurm also invited Walter Van Beirendonck to collaborate on a series of 'performative Sculptures' which were presented during the opening yesterday. These 'Performative Sculptures' feature 'living' sculptures walking and posing throughout the open air museum. The performance will be repeated on August 6th at 8PM and September 25th at 4PM.

Here are some pictures of the walking sculptures!
