GEORGIAN FASHION WEEK: DAY 2: MORE TBILISI

1

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Sofia took us on a private viewing of Lado Goudiachvili's private collection of paintings
from 1920's until 1950s. At this perfectly preserved house we were welcomed by his
granddaughter and great grandaughter. Together we viewed the work as they shared with us stories of him while he was in Paris in the 20's and  hanging out with all the cool artists of the period, but also his struggle when he  returned to Georgia, during and after the war and his period of depression which resulted in a series of work exhibited at the gallery space situated within the same building.
The aromatic coffee, the fresh orange cake, the warmth of our hostesses and the incredible
interiors and history of the place set the mood for another great day in Tbilisi.
