Live from Sundance at 5pm PST January 27, 2011. On July 24th, 2010, thousands of people around the world took part in Life in a Day, a historic cinematic experiment to document a single day on earth. Oscar winning director Kevin Macdonald and a team of editors have whittled down over 80,000 clips (more than 4,500 hours of footage) into a 90 minute documentary film that gives an honest and inspiring glimpse of our world. I’m looking forward to the short film by Catinca Untaru, the 14 year old actress from Bucharest that played Alexandria, the main character in Tarsem Singh’s The Fall. Catinca was the first Romanian child to star in an international film. As Catinca’s agent, Andreea Tanasescu says, “collaborative films are the way to make movies in our days.”
