I met Guillaume Henry years ago. He had just graduated from IFM and was competing for the Swiss Textiles Award, Even at that early stage in his career his Parisian outlook on fashion was apparent. In 2009 Guillaume was appointed creative director of the house of Carven. Once installed at the house Guillaume put his focus on dressing real women. His grounded approach brought renewed attention to the house of Carven. Business has been going so well that early this year Carven will open their first shop near Saint Sulpice church in Saint Germain des Pres. The shop is located at 36 rue Saint Suplice. The interior will offer the intimate and sophisticated atmosphere of an elegant apartment. The 50m2 ground floor will display the collection designed by Guillaume Henry and the first floor will consist of a huge reception room devoted to fittings.
