Last night I had the pleasure of visiting the set of the live broadcast of "Le Journal de 20h" with Claire Chazal, also know as the Katie Couric of France. With a tour of the set, control room and even a special meeting with filmmaker Nicole Garcia and French movie star Jean Dujardin, the evening was an excellent behind-the-scenes look at the most watched news broadcast in France.
Germain Dagognet, the Editor in Chief, helps me begin my training for my eventual takeover as the lead anchor of the evening news in France.
Adrien Rohard and I put on our best anchorman pose for our publicity photo. I don't think I will be on air anytime soon.
Having whispered to Adrien that I like Jean Dujardin, he suddenly felt he had to tell everyone on set that I was a HUGE Jean Dujardin fan. This photo inevitably took place.
Claire Chazal invited all of us to her to office to take this photo together. Even though she was cracking jokes with everyone, I dared not refer to her as Claire, but rather stuck with Madame Chazal for the evening.
I am off to do some work for my Jean Dujardin fan club.
