Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,
While Diane is doing 8 interviews in a row, I was exploring the city – central ?? / Sheung Wan ?? area.
In between the new buildings – we can still find a little temple, there was a woman cleaning the temple.
Oldest temple in Hong Kong, Man Mo Temple
After exploring the antique street, Hollywood road – I was happy to be in the food market, Gage street and On Tai street.
I could not resist buying this smoked? gizzards even though I don't know how to cook them…
I never thought egg tarts were tasty, but from this bakery it was very delicious – they were even warm freshly from the oven!
My small shopping of the afternoon.
I was so touched that Joyce sent even to me this great invitation to their 40th anniversary dinner and party. Thank you so much for inviting me as a friend of Diane's.
After we had a great Dim Sum dinner, I dropped Diane at Mandarin Oriental and went to Tsim Sha Shui. I took Star Ferry again (cannot believe it is only 2.5 HK dollars – less than 30 euro cents!) and I was a little better photographer, photos are less blurry…
and then taking a subway to Mong Kok – where the night market is.
In the subway station, my favorite Japanese group ARASHI was in the adverts from Japan Tourism Agency – ARASHI is big in Asia.
Here I was at Ladies' Market ???, Tung Choi Street ???.
A lot of my friends were on duty.
Fresh coconut juice was too tasty x
I could not stop looking at how orange chicken legs were… so decided to buy some squid on stick and ask if it was okay to take a photo. Of course I messed up my scarf and bag with sauce of the squid…
Back home – Causeway bay where my hotel is. I loved the colors of the station and the caligraphy on the wall (it says Causeway bay in Chinese) very much.
So this is my night market shopping.
and Today's best finding at Hollywood Road.
It was a great day including great 2 hours massage by Cindy at Happy Foot.
Thank you very much for reading my loooong post.
Later,
Akiko.
