YAEL LANDMAN S/S 11 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The colder it gets, the more I find myself thinking about underwear. Call me a perv if you like, but there's nothing distasteful in Yael Landman's creations. Using delicate lace, shimmery silks and dramatic velvet, Landman has an eye for detail and the codes of seduction. I love the atmosphere of her Polaroid look book, reminding me of David Lynch's obsessions, somewhere between Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire.

Produced in Belgium, her line offers an interesting crossover between lingerie and clothing. Erotic texts -written especially by Didier van Bruyssel- are hidden inside the precious linings. Yael also offers a made-to-measure service. I say it's never too late to bring out your inner vamp.

Best,
