Bryan Boy pays me a visit
Dear Shaded Viewers,
I am in Florence for PITTI UOMO. Tomorrow night Haider Ackermann will present his special event for Fondazione Pitti Discovery. There will be a site specific performance at the Palazzo Corsini and we will see some of his menswear too… Thursday evening Raf Simons, the creative director behind the brand Jil Sander, will make his return visit to Pitti Immagine. The first time he was here was for his own brand but this time his fashion project is dedicated to the Jil Sander's tenth anniversary. Il Quarto Sesso will be staged at the Stazione Leopolda.
I cannot say that I did much today except change hotels. Just when I was ready to go out for dinner it started to rain so I decided to stay in and order room service. That was probably a mistake…I mean 40+ euros for mushroom soup and grilled vegtebles is a bit on the high side, don't you think?
Aside from talking to Federico Poletti and him sorting out my hotel hiccup, I really did not do much today. The highlight was a visit from my 'downstairs' neighbor, Bryan Boy. I knew he was in Florence but did not realize he was in my hotel. He paid me a visit. When I opened the door I made him stand there because I wanted a full length shot. He was a vision.
He's been here for the past 3 days for the Luisaviaroma event. I was invited but it was the same time as the Royal Academy of Antwerp's school show so I had to make a choice.
Tomorrow you will see something beyond my room.
