Out of more than 800 portfolios 10 photographers were in the competition. Michel Mallard believes they are all winners but the jury members must choose their winner. They were split between Matthieu Lavanchy and Yann Gross. Matthieu was the first photographer that I met this year at the festival and I had a feeling from that day that he would be a winner.
