Designers George Bezhanishvill and Franziska Furpass studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and have collaborated on a collection that they call Femme Maison. It is a collection based on the work of Louise Bourgeois's works that portrayed relationships either as a whole or in relation to its surroundings. Bourgeois's pieces often consist of erotic and sexual images and also organic forms found in nature that deal with topics like fear, protection and intimacy.
The material used is bleached tapestry that is ruffled together, sewn by hand in a crude manner. Parts of the body of the dress are padded. Asymetric fringe is placed in the shoulder seam. The collection will be shown in Bilbao at the Art & Fashion Bilbao International Competition.
