Givenchy Fall/Winter 2010/11

Dear Shaded Viewers,

It was a bit hard to decipher the colors because the room was bathed in a strong red light. The silhouettes for the most part were Bauhaus minimal and appeared in  red, black, white and beige. The inspiration took us from the mountains, note the snowflake sweaters with a bit of a twist, to scuba diving reflected in the neoprene trousers and the  scuba details which included oversized zippers and fold over waistbands. The emphasis was placed on the blurring of the sexes more than the dark romantic side of Riccardo however he did not abandon that altogether and offered us ostrich feathers on organza that was embroidered with pearls. He also proposed a bit of leather and lace. Glam rock was evident in the glitter lips, bags and gloves.

Later,
