Clayton Burkhart, George Walker Torres and Rafael Jimenez
Dear Shaded Viewers,
After the Givenchy couture show I went to see Rafael Jimenez for the filming of the Super 8 Series, a TV show made for global distribution. The project will be presented during Madrid Fashion Week and the broadcast is scheduled in the US for the end of the year. I was severely late because their was a mistake on the schedule which read that the Givenchy couture show was going to be at 21h and I had scheduled the appointment with Rafael at 19h30 , as it turned out the show was at 19h and so the Super Eight team waited for me to arrive. When I walked in Rafael said two of your friends are here and I could not imagine who they were. You know how people say they are your friends but in fact you hardly know them. The surprise came when I saw Clayton Burkhart who I used to work with when I was a fashion editor for Joyce Ma' s magazine. He was taking photos before getting into film. Joyce closed her magazine in 1997 when Hong Kong got handed back to China so that is more than a decade ago and George Walker Torres was in film school when we met and did a masters in LA. For a short while he worked with me on a TV project , Exotic Breed, that never really saw the light of day. Probably I have not seen him for more than 7 years. I remember him turning 30… Anyway it was really nice to see Rafael and his dream team.
Later,
Diane
