Dear Shaded Viewers,

There are not many Americans showing during Paris Menswear, but Tim Hamilton is building up his business and reputation. The big names were all there, both on the press and retail fronts. He delivered a convincing collection, focusing on smart, urban pieces with a twist. He seems to love sharp, graphic statements and his square-shouldered jackets had an almost Mugler-esque feel.

Hamilton knows how to do a soft silhouette, too, and his textured and patterned knits offered a nice contrast.

Beyond the hard/soft paradigm, he went all-out for evening with a wonderful, sequinned black suit.
