I am going to post a series of very low fi actually quite raw, video clips from my visit with Nobuyoshi Araki in Tokyo.
The first one is how Araki met his girlfriend, KaoRi. In fact she came to him because she wanted him to take her picture.Pictured speaking in the film is my friend Akiko Hamaoka. Akiko introduced me to Araki. Araki will be celebrating his 69th birthday later this month. Each birthday he produces another book. He has published more than 400 books which is more like a book a month. Certainly a lot more than one a year.
